You are not alone in feeing old. I too feel this way. And your mom’s advice is sage-like. I suppose that what I do or do not do is often related to how old I feel. If I have a big day in the mountains climbing, I do not feel old. Those days make me happy. I suppose there is something to be said of the old adage of “If you never slow down, you never grow old.” Though I also agree with what one of your interviewees said regarding not knowing the names of pop stars and attributing that to getting older or feeling old. I was listening to the radio a few weeks ago and they were listening the top 10 billboard artists and I had not heard of a single one. And I felt pretty old that day.
Is it bad I look forward to the day I'm called a "batty old broad"?
Not at all
