And it'll interest you to know that of the few psychiatrists we have in Nigeria, a substantial majority are on their way out or actively planning to "Japa" (the colloquial term for escape). But some of us have the intention to stay and do our best for the industry while collaborating with colleagues and institutions from across the sea.

Too many people have absolutely ABUSED the diagnosis of bipolar disorder to escape from legal problems. This type of abuse also give stingy insurance companies an even greater incentive to deny claims, call the mood disorder "pre-existing," or otherwise find ways to either slow down the claims processing.

They just deleted the year long medication for my dad for cheap er and worse. Thats what I see as reality. Great summit but where is the reality heading?
