Wow that's incredible. So Medicare will now cover 2x rTMS (non-neuronavigated) treatments a day? Is that national or subject to state adoption in local coverage determination? Private insurers will be playing catch up I'm assuming?
It remains to be seen. Traditionally, Medicare authorizes 36 treatments, and private insurance authorizes some amount of treatments, but the Issue that Makes it impossible to bill for more than one in a day Is this MUE. The MUE is now "above 2". So it may be that plans will just pay for the same amount But practices can accelerate the treatment as Makes sense clinically
This will be possible under Medicare at the very least as of July 1, 2024. Intersession interval matters, and I still believe the 50 min interval is the shortest advisable for metastatic changes to be optimal.

It would be great to be able to have the option to get patients done in 3 weeks instead of 6
