Dorothy awoke to an email in her inbox. Her searching the night before had led to an invitation! The email waiting for her was from the founder of a telehealth company. It said they were looking to interview patients for their advisory board. “InFlames,” the company was called. It was…it said a…BaaS company? Biologics as a Service1. Dorothy booked a time with the founder for a discovery call later that day.
On a zoom call, Dorothy looked earnestly into the Founder's ring-light-illuminated face. She was surprised to see one of his eyes slowly wink at her. She thought she must have been mistaken at first, for none of the Founders in Kansas2 ever wink, but presently, the figure nodded its head to her in a friendly way. Maybe it was different with those who were funded in Silicon Valley.
"Good day," said the Founder in a rather husky voice.
"Did you have a question about my experience with psoriasis3?" asked the girl in wonder.
