This photograph was taken of my father. It's the last picture I ever took of him. This is a story about why doing something now is better than waiting till it's perfect.

I was a serious enough photographer for a long time. I like using “large format” cameras. Particularly, I was really drawn to the use of 4 x 5” cameras, and for the unfamiliar, these are cameras were the film is 4 x 5" --that's a big piece of film! It leads to really compelling photographs. I also like the process. It's difficult.
