South by Southwest has some funny events. One of them was an invitation to come talk about your fake business. It was one of the 3 or 4 total talks that weren’t about psychedelic medicine or reimagining imagined futures. Here are some of the most robust and compelling business ideas people made up on the spot, along with my comments:

Sane Libs

“We are disrupting not knowing what to say” by proving unconventional words as a service in the health space.

My thoughts:

  1. Platform solution = check

  2. Scalable

  3. Demonstrated product market fit

  4. Multiple time founder

Lit

Lit is reimagining lightbulbs…in virtual reality.

My thoughts:

  1. This absolutely scales

  2. It’s pointless

  3. But if it gets PMF….it will 50x
