“I'll call the Director at the ER…just one minute.”

This was Bess Stillman, M.D., the widow of Jake Seliger, as she casually saved my daughter’s life. Bess is a dear friend, and my child had fallen 6 feet, head down onto the concrete, as would later become clear. She had a skull fracture, and it turns out in the emergency room, she was not attached to a level one trauma center. Dr. Stillman saved my daughter’s life, and she’s doing great now, thanks to the excellent decision-making of Bess,
