People Hate Children

In other awful news, Abercrombie and Fitch’s former CEO was arrested today for charges that will strike residents of 2024 as a familiar theme:
Michael S. Jeffries, the former longtime chief executive of Abercrombie & Fitch, was indicted on Tuesday on charges of running an international sex-trafficking scheme during several years of his tenure at the company.
It’s a remarkably similar “playbook” for exploitation that we’ve seen from individuals like Harvey Weinstein, Jeffry Epstein, and (allegedly) Sean Combs. It’s similar to Bill Cosby. Being fabulously wealthy is not enough for some people. Predation on children and adults is how they choose to get through their day.
When I started my Child Psychiatry fellowship at Bellevue Hospital, I had a lecture with the now-deceased Dr. Schuyler Henderson.
