I’ve written before about Obesity as a disease. I’ve been obese. I had one blood test worth of diabetes. I don’t have diabetes as an illness anymore. It is not just because of “eating healthy” for me—yes, it includes semglutide—for me, anyway. This isn’t an easy fix and comes with significant drawbacks.

We developed ultra processed food as Americans to avoid famine. These ultra processed foods account for over 89% of added sugars.
