The semi-governmental department of government efficiency (DOGE) was supposed to be helmed by the power twins of venture backed entrepreneurship: Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. The division of labor, in theory, was that a Elon would focus on cutting spending, and Vivek would focus on reducing “unnecessary regulations.” Alas, in a scene reminiscent of the Friend break up between Magneto and professor Xavier, Vivek has departed the semi-administration with Scaramucci-like alacrity.
Mr. Scaramucci, famously, spent 11 days as a member of the first Trump administration, before exiting stage left.
Today, based on a request of my readers — and, critically, the mothers of my readers— I'm going to be doing a Shakespearean tribute to Mr. Ramaswamy.
