Don't Take My GPT4 Away! A CV Formatting Story
The only thing faster than the speed at which artificial intelligence can move is the speed at which I will take it for granted
I am a subscriber to chatGPT. There has been no editing of this top part to highlight the disaster that is a human with unassisted grammar and spelling correction. Today, I'm the reason GPT4 is throttled. Petulant child that I am, I have realized that GPT 3.5 is complete garbage and I don't wanna have anything to do with it.
GPT 3.5 will be, in like a month or two, what 8 bit Nintendo games were 20 years later. A source of amusement!
Remember a month ago, when AI still made absurd mistakes? We are so retro! Let’s ask moderately sized language models to answer questions that would be better answered by large language models as a party!
I go to the best parties, just so everybody knows.
I spent most of today working on my curriculum vitae. This is just kind of a brutal project, and as someone with ADHD, I've been putting it off.
I’ve been putting it off for a year. In fact, in the near future, this will no longer be a thing. The robots are placing us on the Internet at least, and there will be no such thing as a CV you have to manually put together. It will generate real CVs. It will generate fake CVs.
The difference between the real the generated by hallucinations of artificial intelligence will be rapidly swept away. There will be no such thing as wire tap evidence without testimony in court—everything is deep fake, when it comes to defense attorneys.
Everything you can imagine cracking as a system by just throwing AI generated content at it has already been broken by the time you figure out what it is by somebody slightly more devious and with more free time than you. 90% of the lawyers are out of a job. Mid level management, it's been nice knowing you.
The things that are valuable will be in person, ever onward. Paper is going to make a huge comeback for anything important when it comes to documents. There will be an Audit Trails. There will be metadata. Polaroid film!
So much that isn't digital will have to be popular again.
I think this is probably good. When anything on the Internet could be fake, then maybe we will have to be skeptical. It is just too easy for things to be fake now.
But without further ado, here is the very long curriculum vitae that I spent all dayI feel like I should probably share it with somebody, like my readers. I've been wondering what I've been up to all this time, really, because who is this guy?
This is what AI and I got done (and one other human—it’s not done yet! I still have edits tomorrow, but this isn't supposed to be my whole CV, it’s an example of the ability to automate formatting that is the Bane of my existence as an ADHDer historically).

So: the question: do you like the links or the whole website as APA format standard?
You know what I am going to say. I prefer the Harvard CV Format. This is not the Harvard CV Format, which goes hard and goes long but in a way that broadly encompasses "all the things" in a way my brain appreciates. Get AI to make it into that and I will worship at its alter and have it update mine. Up until the 2021 cutoff point I suppose which is a bit of a limitation right now...https://fa.hms.harvard.edu/faculty-medicine-cv-guidelines
